"Lizzie and Ryan started dating as sophomores at the University of Michigan shortly after being introduced to each other on a ski trip. After dating for 8 short years, Ryan surprised Lizzie by finally proposing at the end of a pier in Cancun while on vacation with family. Lizzie was also shocked to find her parents waiting for her in the room as she went to call them with the good news! Much champagne and celebration ensued in the days that followed."
